Membership at SCYC
The Surf City Yacht Club is accepting applications for new members— we have several different membership types.
Types of Membership
A Regular Membership extends all Club privileges to a single person or couple for the entire year. Attend all Club events, sailing, dockage availability, socials, the Women’s Auxiliary, golf, adult sailing lessons and more.
A Family Membership entitles the entire family (children & grandchildren under 21 as well) to all Club privileges— and eligibility for the children to enroll in one or more of our many youth Waterfront programs.
For those adults under age 35 we have reduced fee Young Adult Memberships but with full use of the Club and all amenities as with a Regular Membership.
We also have Swim and Junior Memberships available for children if they are not a part of a Family Membership.
Enjoy our beautiful two-story clubhouse with a deck overlooking Barnegat Bay (watch those amazing sunsets).
An incredible junior waterfront program to introduce your children to sailing and teach them competitive sailing and sportsmanship in our racing regattas.
A safety squadron of race committee and powerboats that can support any activity.
The opportunity to enroll in adult sailing instruction offered by our incredibly experienced sailing team of sailing members.
From Memorial Day through mid-October enjoy some incredibly fun filled social events including cocktail parties, themed socials, dinners, dancing, live music and other incredible events.
Wet and dry slip dockage for sail and powerboats up to 35 feet.
A Women’s Auxiliary group and a golf group that puts together several golf outings each year.
A fully equipped commercial kitchen with space available to host your event for group or individual use.
Use your SCYC membership card for reciprocity with hundreds of yacht clubs all across the United States and internationally. Our club is also a member of the US Sailing Association.
If you are interested in membership, please complete our Membership Contact Form to start the membership process. Someone from our membership committee will contact you and provide additional information about our club and membership. Or just come down and visit our clubhouse as we are open from Memorial Day through mid-October. Our club members or a member of our friendly staff will be pleased to show you our clubhouse and explain the fun and benefits of joining our club.
All prospective members must complete and submit a formal membership application. To access our membership application, please download an application or contact Membership Chair Roy Hibberd at Rhibberd@optonline.net.
Thank you again for considering membership in our club and we look forward to your becoming a part of our sailing and boating community!
